Instructions for authors/presenters

Important

ITC-Egypt’24 is an in-person event, where all “Accepted” papers must be presented in-person, during the conference by one of the authors, to be published in the final proceedings of the conference.

Please follow these instructions to ensure a seamless and smoothly running of the technical sessions:

  1. Presentation Duration:
    • Each presentation is limited to 15 minutes.
    • Please adhere strictly to this time limit.
  2. Accepted Formats:
    • Only PPT (PowerPoint) or PDF formats are allowed for your presentation.
  3. Session Details:
    • Confirm the time and location of your session in advance. Ensure you have the necessary directions to the meeting room where your session will take place.
  4. Pre-Session Preparation:
    • Arrive at the session room 15 minutes before the start of your session.
    • Introduce yourself to the session chair upon arrival.
  5. Technical Setup:
    • The session room will be equipped with a laptop, projector, and screen.
    • The laptop will have the latest versions of Microsoft PowerPoint, Office, and Acrobat Reader.
  6. File Upload:
    • All presenters must upload their presentations onto the provided laptop before the session begins.
    • Prepare your presentation in MS PowerPoint or Adobe PDF format and bring it on a USB drive to the session, to be easily copied to the laptop in the room.

Extra Instructions

  1. Presenters are asked to avoid the usage of very specific fonts
  2. No guarantee or assistance will be offered for running embedded videos. Authors are asked to avoid using embedded videos unless they are really necessary.
  3. Instructions about entrance to the venue:
    • Registered authors/presenters/guests are advised to bring a proof of their payment (copy of payment receipt, etc.) to facilitate entrance, just in case of any confusion.
    • Entrance to the conference through gate 4 (for pedestrian). If you are coming by a car, you must proceed to gate 8 for parking, then head to the Registration desk.
